Standard protection against all types of attack.
— In-Game Description
Lightweight alloys is a reinforcement material for the ship's hull. It gives the least amount of general protection compared to other alternatives, such as Reinforced Alloys or Military Grade Composite.
You can find it for sale at almost any station. Any ship you buy will almost certainly come with lightweight alloys fitted as standard.
Mk II Ablative Lightweight Alloy
TBD
— In-Game Description
Mk II Ablative Lightweight Alloy is an improved Lightweight Alloy bulkhead armour that provides advanced thermal shielding for faster, steeper atmospheric entries. It was apparently developed by Zorgon Peterson along with the Caspian Explorer, the only ship on which it can be fitted,[1] and introduced on 02 December 3311 (2025).[2] Its published specs are identical to the regular Lightweight Alloy, aside from the atmospheric entry benefits and purchase cost.
