| | Mike Ditka is considered among the best American football players in the history of National Football League (NFL). He spent his childhood on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since his childhood, Ditka was determined to do nothing else in life besides following in the footsteps of his father, who was a manufacturer. In school, he was an indispensable part of the school football team because of his strong, tall, capable body structure. He was offered scholarships from a number of schools including University of Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Notre Dame. However, he was planning whole-heartedly to become a dentist, but he also took football as an alternative path. |
