A Gold Rush is a term used for a large-scale and hasty movement of people to a place where gold or something precious was found.[1][2]
The first gold rush was in the premium beta of Elite Dangerous. There were only a few systems in the game, and getting credits was very hard. This was around the time they added Unidentified Signal Sources. Some of the USSs spawned gold canisters that could be looted.[3]
Some notable gold rushes are:
- Rhea
- Quince
- Robigo Mines slave smuggling missions
- Oxley Keep skimmer massacre missions
- Parsons Station
- Obsidian Orbital
