Supply <code>discussion=Talk:Page title#Section</code>, or the appropriate namespace talk page, when the discussion is in a particular section. Notify the creator and affected maintainers with a neutral message. A notice does not decide the outcome or start an automatic deletion countdown.
Record the outcome and reasons on the same talk page, then remove the active notice. Preserve useful history and attribution when merging or replacing content. Disputed deletion or restoration can be raised through [[Project:Deletion review]].
