Usage
If an article, file, template, category, module, or other page does not meet the guideline for the use of colours, add this to the top of the page:
{{overcoloured|date=October 2026}}
Alternatively, if the problem only affects one section of the page, add this to the top of the relevant section:
{{overcoloured|section|date=October 2026}}
- If the page is written in United States English, ensure {{Use American English}} is placed at the top of it for this template to spell "colour" as "color" for WP:ENGVAR compliance.
- This template takes the optional parameter
|reason=, which can be used to explain what issues need to be addressed, e.g.|reason=The contrast of some of the colors used in this timeline is not high enough to be read easily by almost anyone.
Category
This template adds articles, files, templates, and categories to Category:Wikipedia pages with colour accessibility problems.
