A component of a large Thargoid propulsion drive found in the wreckage of a Titan.

— In-Game Description

Titan drive component is a Salvage Commodity of Thargoid origin. A rare and highly valuable item, they can only be salvaged from the wreckage of a dead Titan.

Collection

They appear very rarely around the carcass of a dead Titan, along with other Thargoid Salvage commodities and Materials, such as Organic Circuitry, Caustic Crystals, or various Tissue Samples.

Just like with normal cargo containers, Commanders can either use collector limpets, or manually gather the components with their vessel's cargo scoop.

It should be noted that the Titan Drive Component is highly corrosive, and will cause internal damage to the carrying ship, lest it is placed within a Corrosion Resistant Cargo Rack.

Usage

The primary (if not only) use of the Titan Drive Component is the aquisition of a Pre-Engineered FSD (SCO) V1. One Titan Drive Component is required, among other materials, to aquire a single pre-engineered FSD module, thus placing the TDC's in high demand among independent pilots.

History

On 23 March 3310, Achilles Corporation requested a delivery of titan drive components to build a hybrid Thargoid / Human hyperdrive.

On 19 December 3310, pre-engineered V1 SCO FSDs became available and required 1 Titan drive component, along with other materials, to purchase.
