}}Glory, to mankind! The Anti-Xeno Initiative is a squadron and a player minor faction dedicated to protecting humanity from xenological threats. They defend systems targeted by xeno aggressors, study their technology and behavior, and refine battle tactics. The AXI played a pivotal role in the Second Thargoid War and helped coordinate the HIP 22460 blockade in January 3311.

The Anti-Xeno Initiative was founded by CMDR Gluttony Fang on the 15th of November 3303. They are the largest dedicated AX (anti-xeno) squadron in Elite Dangerous and act as a hub for the broader AX community. They are partnered with Canonn Interstellar Research and also coordinate defense efforts with other squadrons in the pursuit of protecting humanity from outside threats. In addition to having the single largest reserve of AX pilots in the galaxy, the AXI also have a sizeable contingent of PvP pilots whose purpose is to repel any attempts by other commanders to disrupt AXI operations.

The AXI is based out of the HR 1185 system in the Pleiades Nebula, though its operations extend to other current hotbeds of Thargoid activity such as the California, Witch Head, and Coalsack nebulae.

The AXI's official squadron carrier is The Astras which is typically stationed in the Pleiades region.
