This template can be used to insert a link to a waterfall's page at the [http://www.worldwaterfalldatabase.com World Waterfall Database].

The [[URL]] of a waterfall information page at the database looks like this:
: <code><nowiki>http:</nowiki>//www.worldwaterfalldatabase.com/waterfall/{{color|red|Waterfall-Name}}-{{color|blue|ID}}/</code>
where <code>{{color|red|Waterfall-Name}}</code> is the name of the waterfall, as it appears in the database (with any spaces replaced by hyphens “<code>-</code>”, and possibly other text manipulations for characters that are not allowed in URLs), and <code>{{color|blue|ID}}</code> is a numerical code. For example, the information page for [[Niagara Falls]] has the following URL:
: <code><nowiki>http:</nowiki>//www.worldwaterfalldatabase.com/waterfall/{{color|red|Niagara-Falls}}-{{color|blue|106}}/</code>

This template will substitute Wikipedia article name for <code>{{color|red|Waterfall-Name}}</code>, after stripping any [[WP:Disambiguation|disambiguating]] term(s) in parentheses and then replacing any spaces by hyphens. If this would generate an incorrect URL, then a correct <code>{{color|red|Waterfall-Name}}</code> can be provided using <code>name in url</code> parameter (see below).

== Usage ==
The template has 3 parameters:
* <code>name</code> (optional), name of the waterfall as in should appear ''in Wikipedia article''. If not provided, article title will be used, after stripping any [[WP:Disambiguation|disambiguating]] term(s) in parentheses.
* <code>name in url</code> (optional), <code>{{color|red|Waterfall-Name}}</code> as it appears ''in the URL of the database page''. If not provided, the value of <code>name</code> parameter will be used, after replacing any spaces by hyphens. If <code>name</code> is also missing, then article title will be used, after stripping any [[WP:Disambiguation|disambiguating]] term(s) in parentheses and then replacing any spaces by hyphens.
* <code>id</code>, waterfall <code>{{color|blue|ID}}</code> as it appears ''in the URL of the database page''.
