{} Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed you removed {{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>#if:{}|}}}|a page}} from {{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>#if:{}|}}}|a parent category}} that is also included in {{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>#if:{}|}}}}} a non-diffusing subcategory. It's important to understand that non-diffusing subcategories are designed to coexist with their parent categories, not replace them.

Non-diffusing subcategories, such as those defined by ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality, and disability, are intended to highlight specific characteristics of people without removing the broader context. For example, removing women from :Category:British novelists when they're in :Category:British women novelists would leave only male novelists in the main category, misrepresenting British literature.
Key points to remember:

* Subcategories defined by ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality, and disability should almost always be non-diffusing.
* Non-diffusing subcategories highlight specific characteristics without removing the broader context.
* Removing items from the parent category can result in incomplete representation and distort the visibility of diverse contributions.

The Categorizing articles about people guideline explains that non-diffusing subcategories, like :Category:British women novelists, should not fully isolate their members from the parent category.
For more detailed information on this topic, please refer to the following guidelines:

* Ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality guidelines
* Categorizing articles about people
