== Purpose ==<br />
This template is one of a number of configuration templates in the [[WP:Automated taxobox system|automated taxobox system]]. It is used by [[Module:Autotaxobox]]|taxoboxList.<br />

It tests whether its parameter, a Latinized rank, is a 'principal' Linnaean rank or not, returning 'yes' or 'no'. Editing this template will change which ranks are treated as principal, and therefore always displayed in an automated taxobox.<br />
<br />
Ranks currently treated as principal are: realm (used for viruses), regnum, phylum, divisio, classis, ordo, familia, genus and species, plus ichno- and oo- versions of these.<br />
