{{cascade-protected template}}<br />
<br />
This template allows quick entry of an apostrophe and "s" after bolded words that are not italicized (mostly in [[WP:DYK|DYK]] hooks). Simply entering an apostrophe and s, as in <br />
<syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext"><br />
'''John''''s house...<br />
</syntaxhighlight><br />
leads to the apostrophe displayed bold where this is not desired; in such cases, you can use<br />
<syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext"><br />
'''John'''{{`s}} house...<br />
</syntaxhighlight><br />
<br />
The difference between {{t|`s}} and {{t|'s}} is the same as the difference between {{t|`}} and {{t|'}}: this and {{t|`}} do not have leading space before the apostrophe.<br />
:{{t|`s}}: '''John'''{{`s}} house...<br />
:{{t|'s}}: '''John'''{{'s}} house...<br />
<br />
== Usage ==<br />
<syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext"><br />
{{`s}}<br />
</syntaxhighlight><br />
