New page

So here's something that annoys me about the description of the Progenitor cells and the logic behind them...

If they sell at aproxmiately 6k credits for 1 Ton, that means that 1lb would cost (at wholesale) about 3.33 credits a pound then give it a good old 50% markup before selling to the chosen medical center will give us 6.66 credits a pound. Obviously you probably wont be buying this in a solid form, it's more than likely an injection, so we'll go with the measurments used in [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syringe Syringe mL's] to get an idea of what we'll be dealing with however this hypothetical Syringe will have the capacity of 10mL. [http://convert-to.com/conversion/water-weight-volume/convert-pound-lb-of-water-weight-to-ml-of-water-volume.html 453.59 ml's] in 1 pound of liquid (In this case water since we don't know the exact specifications of the cells) will equate to 0.0146828633788223 credits per injection, 45 injections will be available per pound.

Now obviously the medical personel will be giving it a wopping markup, lets say 2,000,000% markup to make it more... Realisticly priced; this gives us 294 Credits per injection. So... Even with all that crazy math... How does this make sense in the Elite dangerous universe? We needed a 2 million percent markup to make it even remotely profitable for these hypothetical medical companies.

But hey, maybe this is accurate? I have no idea, this is just a theory to explain how exactly these cells could possibly be JUST for the Rich... Especially when they sell for such a cheap cost.

The main part that bothers me is that it required such a massive markup to make it seem expencive, unless the population in elite dangerous uses some form of currency that we don't get to see... Or perhaps 100 credits from our perspective as Commanders is more like 1 million credits, and so on and so foreth.
