Depends on the way you fight. If you go for the subsystems first, use lasers. And if you are really that accurate, rail guns. If not go with whatever. Gimbaled multi-cannons are for those who don't want to or can't aim. (Like me) A beam and pulse laser are incredibly powerful at medium short range. Especially with an agile ship like the Vulture. Keep in mind that lasers are often better (not by much) against hull than kinetic against shields.
