New page

It is arguable which is preferred, but do keep in mind the insurance ship buyback also covers all your installed modules (which can take quite a time to get if the stations selling them are all over the place in the galaxy and not conveniently at the station you respawn in) and (for horizon owners) any modifications to the modules you had. Technically the module modifications are free (does not cost any credits, but materials) so you get them back without having to fly hundreds of lightyears to the system where the engineer is, pay the material cost again (when you could've just gotten the exact same modification for free with the insurance) and with enough bad luck, get a worse outcome for that RNG modification than you had before. In that aspect, personally, I prefer the insurance system ED has now.
