Why would anyone want to mount fixed weapons on a ship of this size? Unless you are going after other Cutters and type 9's and even then it wouldn't be practicle. Yes the corvette is also a huge ship but it is meant for combat so it should handle better. The cutter is a multipurpose ship with emphasis on trading. It is like a python and a fdl they can both do combat but the fdl is built for it so it is going to handle better. Also, it is built by the empire so what did you expect?!
