New page

I didn't encounter any griefers in this game yet, but I only play the game for a week now and had only 2 playsessions in open, so I have no idea how bad it is..

But I do understand why people would do it, at least when you're attacked for no reason other than you happening to pass by..
I come from GTA V Online and in that game I almost logged off every I tried to do a money making mission..

I finally I stopped playing game because of griefers who got more and more grieving tools with every new update, until they came up with a stealth helicopter that is invisible on radar, even if you keep looking behind you and you spot it yourself you can't take it out until it's out of stealth (ofcourse it can't fire at you either).. The griefing part of this thing is that when they come after you when you are in a mission which can cost you a lot money and effort if he destroys it (and you're forced to do this in a public lobby by the game), for me, because I am doing a mission, have a timer.. So I can't wait for him to go out of stealth, and as soon as he does come out he can fire a dozen homing missiles at m.. And when I do manage to take him out, I get punished by the game, because I destroyed his personal vehicle and have to pay to the insurance.. Ofcourse that game works like that, but this game isn't about getting as many kills as possible..

Now back on topic:

I do believe that it would be best if you couldn't just quit without any repercussions when you're losing a battle .. But only if they punish real griefers harder..
For instance if they destroy your ship and cargo they should pay for the rebuy including your cargo..

It shouldn't be that hard to determine which players are griefers because they attack a lot more players that have no bounties (or anything else that would justify an attack according the laws of the game) on them, then "normal" players would, and they should be getting more bounties on themselves to..
But what could be a bit more challenging is when you destroy "the griefer" after he initiated the attack, in that case you should not have to pay for his rebuy and I don't know how difficult it would be to let the game decide this correctly by itself..
