It was the Cobra Mk.3 that really got me into this game. I'd been grinding to get an Adder and then something better, and I wasn't impressed with the game so far. Then I got enough for a Cobra, and wow.

From there, I could actually properly get into the game. Suddenly I'm able to take on other ships in a fight (and easily run if I couldn't handle them), have cargo space to do more missions than the "deliver data", and have enough jump range to get out of the handful of systems I'd been stuck in. I made my first millions in my trusty Cobra. Actually 4 million in one shot: I had a short but extremely lucky exploration jaunt and moved up three Explorer ranks in one go.

Only "downside" was that I had enough for an AspX and abandoned my Cobra after that...
