Me too. Thought I'd try a turreted laser and instead of aiming at my targeted ship it shot an innocent bystander, earning me a 100cr bounty that I now can't pay off! This game is far too unbalanced in the "you looked at me funny so I'll kill you" sense. It's impossible to do anything even remotely illegal because the game assassinates you within seconds. I tried picking up salvage once. Once. I picked up a single canister and immediately got slapped with a 26,000cr fine that I couldn't pay off!

Thanks for the log off/on hint - that cleared the bounty and I am able to play the game and enjoy it again.
