The AspX isn't really meant to compete with the kraits/python because of price difference, and as far as the dbx being a better explorer that's down to personal pref I guess. The asp will always be a great multipurpose for the price and it is a good mid/entry level miner although like you mentioned above the kraits/python will do better with a few extreme exceptions.
