	~~== Elite II ==~~
	The Panther Clipper first appeared in ''[[Frontier: Elite II]]''. It was the largest ship in the game, being extremely slow as a consequence, and was described as capable of buying entire planets out of their cargo. Due to its immense size, it was capable of being equipped with planetary bombardment-class weaponry and powerful shields that shrugged off attacks from small pirate craft.

	{{Quote\|Zorgon Peterson has created a new breed of trade vessel, designed to pack as much cargo space into a standard certified vessel as possible. The Panther Mk II offers pilots both an incredible cargo capacity and a surprising armament for a freighter. With state-of-the-art drive stabilisers and an integrated polymer weave hull, the Panther's design also allows superior management of overcharged Frame Shift Drives.\|Datamined from the game files April 2025}}
