It was founded on 30th of October 2015 by CMDR Hipster Cutthroat. Not long after, Space Poultry got in coalition with another player faction called The Diamond Frogs. The coalition between Space Poultry and The Diamond Frogs slowly faded away due to lack of communication from both sides.

Space Poultry, as a player group, aims to maintain security and well being in the system of Xihe, as well as feed the demand for commodities. However, the system still has an occasional war between two factions. Most notable achievement of Space Poultry is the eviction of unfettered NPC minor faction Xihe Purple Brothers, however, as of July 2016, the minor faction has reappeared. Space Poultry is currently in control of system of Xihe]], and has presence in the system of Ngaruayanka and Carmenta.
