So how does 2 x Large hardpoints matter?

Viper still sports 2 x C1 and 2 x C2, thus enabling you to carry both shield melting (lasers) and hull cracking (projectiles). With only 2 hardpoints it sounds more like an undersized cargo ship than heavy fighter.

A heavy fighter should sport the same armament as an Asp, but without the same jump range, utility slots and cargo, but then again better speed and maneuverability.

I will be extremely disappointed if it only has 2 hardpoints. I am expecting 4 x C1 + 2 x C2, or 4 x C2 for it to be a worthwhile investment over Viper.
