A multipurpose Variant of the Combat Viper. Double the cost (A-equipped multipurpose ~12 mio), three times the over all weight and cargo capacity. Almost double the range of the MKIII. Increased modules and shields, no energyproblems anymore.
Lost ~30 m/s top- and boost-speed.

A decent multipurpose alternative to the great Viper MKIII.

But game wise...big questionmark.
Same price as Cobra MKIII (full A-Equipped) but not as good stats wise: 10 Units less internal space and slower in all aspects (top and boost-speed)
Only Advantage vs. the Cobra: Shields !
The 4A shield generator produces 226 MJ of shields on the Viper MKIV but only 123 MJ on the Cobra MKIII.
Worth the loss in Speed ?

For me not different enough from the Cobra to make a point.
Better for Piracy (it's as if they aimed to produce the dedicated opposite to the preffered Police ship ;-) )
Mixed Feelings for Bounty Hunting, great increase in range, but so much on the market that just outruns it in speed now.
