I'm not 100% sure what they mean by that ''fast moving energy projectile ''bit. It's the 'energy' and 'projectile' part that's the most confusing of all things... And since everyone in the beta has only one goal in mind (that is getting the Chieftain)  nobody went and began to look around for these traders to test out the new weapons.

Not that it would make that much of a difference anyway; FDEV will just probably play this out just like they did with the plasma accelerators. At first they were thermal/kinetic type damage, dealing decent amount of damage that could be mitigated by your shields (wich is the proper way to go about it) and then they completely changed their minds and made them do a sh1t ton of ''absolute'' damage, completely ignoring shield resistances and everything (in other words, bullsht damage). This time, instead of finally giving us a proper capacitor consumtion energy based weapon, like the description suggests, we'll probably get yet another severely limited ammo based weapon that'll probably do megatons of ''astral'' damage or some sht...

But that's just me ranting, i'm actually hoping to get lucky this time. Who knows...
