I kitted out a Type-6 to be a mining barge. 64t Cargo, Prospector & Collector Limpets, Top of the Range 9bin Refinery, Dual small hardpoint mining lasers, Biggest Power Plant and Power Distribution.

I have been residing in Lembava for Factional reasons, but the joy of that, is that Lembava Goldstein Station pretty much always has Bulletin Board missions to get low number (1-5 units) of Platinum, Osmium and occasionally Painite for between 100k-250k. There are at least 4 systems within 12ly jump to go mining in Pristine Metallic & Metal Rich belts and Jovian rings. This is my Tip for you miners.. Don't bleed me dry, but since I built my "barge" I've been making between 1-3mill credits a day (avg 3 hours a day).

Good Luck! If you see me out there... Wave Hello!
