We really need some way to keep track of manuvering thrusters on this wiki. Having concrete information about the reverse thrusters is useful for players looking for a new ship without needing to look up info on it all day. I don't know how since the game doesn't give you any info on it, but still.
The Mamba can be forced into a jousting fighter role, but its retrogrades are fantastic for sniping. Get some long-range pulses and start reversing from your target when he comes at you and you can drag it out for a good while, and when he eventually does get close the hit-and-run capabilities make it easy to do a flyby, FA-off turn, and start reversing away again. Add long-range force shell cannons for hull damage and to make it harder to follow you. It's the only Mamba build I could put together that actually takes advantage of it's strengths, and it works pretty well for a build that's usually not viable on other ships.
