Kraits make great exploration ships, if you're not concerned with the largest jump. It has a great view. If you explore, proper, and not just jump 70LY+ at a time, or whatever it is the Conda does (never owned one, but have owned the Cutter, twice, each time remembering how much it sucks to fly), it's a great ship to throw an SRV in and just go explore.

Combat-wise, this ship would rock, where it not for the fact that as soon as my shields go I'm taking cockpit damage...even as I have 90%+ hull left.  That said, I would say that they should either make the Krait Phantom, or MKII variant with a more reinforced, albeit, less visible cockpit. Give it thicker frames and maybe put some armor up on the sides a bit, thereby reinforcing it and also making the target area smaller. The Vulture needs the same treatment, badly. I would say just make both the Krait II and Krait Phantom variants have an armored cockpit, then release an explorer variant with the glass that both ships have now.
