Agreed.  I played in 1.3 when it had a 5A powerplant.  I recently just bought one and decided to stick to a 5A powerplant, not 6.  I have more than enough power for everything I want, because who needs 800 shields when having a heatsink and chaff and scanners is more fun and utility focused for an actual bounty hunting role?  Put in an additional 16 ton fuel tank, 2A interceptor, 16 ton cargo rack and 5A shields, what more could I ask for?  I don't even use Bi-weave for the added challenge, and it's incredibly fun and challenging.  Plus there was fun in managing power skillfully to get the most out of a decent ship.  Shame FDev just decided to slap on a power buff when it never needed one.  Hell in Engineers I got a simple upgrade that gave me like 13% more power, up to around 22mw instead of 20.4.  Now i have more than enough for my build, and then some.  I can't imagine how hilariously powerful it is with a 6A.
