The Cobra MkIII is better than ships that cost significantly more than it. When you specifically kit it for a single role it will excell in that role. When you kit it for multiple roles, it will do several well. If you kit it for a little bit of every thing, it will do a little bit of everything in a reasonably passable way. It really is more than worth what it costs compared to the Sidewinder is on every conceivable level. While single role ships between 150k-1million credits will best it in their respective roles, it performs those roles and others well enough to be workable. Also when kitted for exploration, it really beats both Diamondbacks in that role.
