From Elite Dangerous Wiki

To the guy with the essay. Im an semi-experienced bounty hunter, tis' all i do to be honest and have only just tried space tourism and freighting. Im using the Thrustmaster X, almost the same as yours i believe. Its all dandy and fine to me. The flight mechanics are all the same, in combat situations you should use your boost, forward thrust and vertical thrust at the same time. that's what the pve ships are doing. Thats why pythons always manage to stay infront of you, and Vultures belly camp the mightiest of anacondas in asteroid belts and war situations. Also, massacre missions and alike should be completed as a wing because of the quantities above 30 ships. You should also use every single button you can on the flightstick aswell as numpad.

I think its a bit unfair that you state how this game is so terrible, being wanted isnt that bad. And a tip from me: You should do missions that require you to kill politicians, deserters and pirates unless there are pirate overlords and system influencial politicians versing your pledged nation. Go hunting for asshat pirates in the asteroid belts in solo play, you'll find tons of 300 000 Cr bounty pirates that will eventually find themselves into some trouble with the system forces, and thats where you'll be supporting the "police". Easy as pie to be honest, you get the bounty and as long as you stay your distance behind, under and above the craft youre attacking, you should be good as gold.

If you have a cheap stick the controls may become funky, and the motoring abilities of the stick unprecise and awkward. Mine cost be over fifty bucks, but it worked for me.

It saddens me that so few people see the true beauty in this game, and I don't fancy hearing people complain over low gravity on moons that prohibit reckless driving, its a damn rover, what do you expect. Take your time and see the good things in these games, Elite: Dangerous deserves a lot more attention than it already has, but you cant complain over a game that didnt meet your expectations, it didn't work for you and alot of other players, which ruined its steam rating. I hope some parts of this "essay" teaches some of you some combat maneuvering though, its very important to use the vertical thrusters to get behind ships greater than you, and i just want everyone to know the fact.
