I agree that the headlghts need beefing up - mayhaps add some Dakkar Rally-style mining lights to your ship in the utility spot ? Tractor beams on large or medium weapon slots so you can mine with a friend (You strip, he grabs and hauls, another friend on defense..?) But in my two days of mining ~1.5 hours max per session, I've made ~1,500,000. The trick is checking the rocks, being patient, trying to keep your bearing is bloody hard, but do-able with practice. Head for the Pristine METALLIC (Not metal) planetary rings, in the daylight not the dark side.. Away from any pre-arranged extraction points or wakes.. Literally point at the metallic portion of the ring and fly into it at minimum speed until your ship drops you out of supercruise automatically. . Most of the time you will be alone - no other miners, no cops, no pirates. Good hunting guys,
