Think the prospector limpets are most useful in Pristine locations. What I have been doing is load 3/4 of cargo with limpets. Go to my mine location, when I arrive first mine whatever astroids I can and use a collector drone (This is just to cover cost of limpet/fuel). When first collector drone expires then I start firing prospectors and only bother with the top 5 best sellers when I mine.
Each time the astroid I am at is depleted I fire prospectors looking for my next target while the collection drone is at work. Do not think I really need more than 1 prospector, if the 2+ prospectors were smarter and could set on a search mode were you specify a mineral or more you are actually looking for they would be worth getting.
They should of coded it like that were 1 limpet controller is dumb fire, 2 limpet can specify to seek 2 mineral type. 3 limpets specify to seek 3 mineral types, 4 limpets to seek 4 mineral types. Then it would be worth getting a higher level controller I think.
