Hmm, what will I do with those Fer-De-Lances? Well, same tactic - FSD away with no trouble. 2 FDLs still don't have enough firepower to annihilate the Cutter during its regular FSD charge, C8 shields are still C8 shields (unless the pilot is dumb enough to go with no shields), and it's not like they will be even remotely able to mass lock the Cutter and delay the jump.
That said, I still think Cutter is pretty well balanced. Its extreme tankiness, decent firepower possibility, and impressive speed quite makes up for its lack of manoeuvrability and arguably bad hardpoint placement. Let's just remember that even though it still can put up a good fight, it's not a warship. It actually is not that combat-oriented either. That role is filled by the Corvette.
