== Usage ==
The purpose of the '''{{tl|Media table section}}''' template is to easily add a header row to media tables for films or television series that have some form of split into multiple parts (e.g. a television season broadcast in parts, or a film overview with reboots), titled "Part (number)", as well as including an anchor to this row under the same name.

{{Itcol|Note}} Multiple "/part" templates all redirect here as the original names or redirects for the template, but they all serve exactly the same purpose, as can be seen in the documentation examples for:
* {{tl|Episode table/part}} – see {{slink|Template:Episode table|Parted seasons}}
* {{tl|Series overview/part}} – see {{slink|Template:Series overview|Multi-series franchise and part subheaders}}
* {{tl|Film overview/part}} – see {{slink|Template:Film overview|Detailed example}}

===Syntax===
{{tlx|Media table section|c{{=}}Background colour|''part{{=}}Part number''|''subtitle{{=}}subtitle''|''r{{=}}reference''}}

For seasons which have been split into parts, use {{tl|Media table section}}, as per the examples below. The part row has a HTML ID attribute applied to it, equal to the text displayed; i.e. the ID attributes of the following examples will be "Part 1" and "Athelstan's Journal".

There are multiple available parameters for the parted template:
* {{para|act|1}} gives '''Act 1'''
* {{para|chapter|1}} gives '''Chapter 1'''
* {{para|part|1}} gives '''Part 1'''
* {{para|volume|1}} gives '''Volume 1'''
* {{para|week|1}} gives '''Week 1'''
The use of a subtitle is used through {{para|subtitle|Subtitle Name}}, and can be used by itself or combined with any of the previous parameters. (Italics in the subtitle are to be inserted manually.) For example:
* {{para|chapter|1}}{{para|subtitle|Crossover}} gives '''Chapter 1: Crossover'''
* {{para|subtitle|<nowiki>''Crossover''</nowiki>}} gives '''''Crossover'''''
To remove the bold nature of the text, use {{para|nobold|y}}.

To set a background colour, use:
* {{para|c|#[hex code]}} or {{para|c|[standardized colour name]}}.
* {{para|c|header-grey}} and {{para|c|header-gray}} set the background colour to {{color box|#EAECF0|#EAECF0}} (default wiki-table header colour).
* {{para|c|header-blue}} set the background colour to {{color box|#CCCCFF|#CCCCFF}} (default episode-table header colour).
