A bounty and a fine are two different things folks! A fine you can pay off, you get fines for being scanned whilst transporting illegal goods, or wreckless flying in a space station. A bounty is a price upon your head, to encourage other pilots to hut and kill you in order to claim the bounty, you can't pay a bounty off.

If you want you can avoid the system where the bounty was incurred for the duration of the bounty, and as stated , once the duration of the bounty has passed it will then become a fine, which can then be paid off.

I really don't see the confusion or why people are kicking up a fuss...???? the are seemingly billions of systems in the game to fly around, is it really that difficult to avoid a single system for the duration of the bounty? I currently have bounties on my head totalling over 100k and from various systems, i'm not crying, actually i'm loving the game! If any of you would like to post your bounties and the system/s you frequent, i can happily help remove the bounty from your heads :D
