View source for Elite Dangerous Wiki:Template index/Timing-related

<div class="hatnote">This index documents local templates. Follow this wiki's local policies and guidance when using the examples.</div>
Current events
These templates are not meant to mark an article that merely has recent news articles about the topic (if it were, hundreds of thousands of articles would have these templates, with no informational consequence). Generally it is expected that these templates will appear on an article for less than a day, or occasionally longer, but not several weeks (see No disclaimers in articles for more information). If the article continues to have issues with sources, one of the templates listed at should be used instead.

During active editing sessions
Elite Dangerous Wiki does not use pre-emptive software article locks on pages, because this would be contrary to the policies of Elite Dangerous Wiki and spirit of openness. Page protection is never to be used for closing down an article's normal development and community editing, and should be used only to prevent actual disruption.

{{tlrow|Under construction|category=no|notes=This template is for articles actively undergoing construction, i.e., continuous improvements spread out over hours, days, or longer. {{tlrow|List under construction|category=no|notes=This template is for lists that have been created but not completed to the creator's intention of completion.
