|small = 2|utility = 1}}The '''F63 Condor''' is the mainstay superiority fighter of the [[Federation]] Intervention fleet. Deployed locally by Federation capital vessels, the Condor is meant to fly in large numbers. It tends to fly unshielded, as seen in Conflict Zones.

Its small size and manoeuvrability is what makes it hard to hit, and it can be assumed to be very cheap to mass produce due to its size. The F63 Condor sports two small [[hardpoint|hardpoints]] and at least one utility mount.

Also, due to its size, the F63 Condor does not possess a Frameshift drive, and thus cannot go into Supercruise, nor jump. It is inherently reliant on either a station, outpost or carrier to be deployed from.

The F63 Condor is flyable in the [[Close Quarters Combat]] gamemode, and is a part of the starter (Rank 1) loadout. It comes with two pulse lasers and a [[Chaff Launcher|chaff launcher]] as default.

With the release of [[Elite Dangerous: Horizons]] v2.2 "The Guardians" update, the Condor is a [[Ship-Launched_Fighters|Ship-Launched Fighter]] that can be deployed from a [[Fighter_Hangar|Fighter Hangar]] module.

The F63 Condor can be purchased in [[Federation]] systems only, but can be restocked in any system.

The F63 Condor is available in 5 variants, which differ only in weapons and utility module, and slightly in the top and boost speed. It is the only fighter available with kinetic weapons. F-variants have fixed weapons and G-variants have gimballed weapons.

The '''Asp Explorer''' has a high jump range relative to other ships in the game and thus is quite good for use as an exploration ship. It has six weapon [[hardpoint]]s and has a good turning radius for its size which makes the Asp good for more than just exploration. The Asp can act as a heavy-duty bounty hunting vessel due to its superb weapon capacity and good manoeuvrability for its size. [[Pirate]]s can also use the Asp to great effect because of the ample cargo capacity, heavy armament, long jump range and large mass (allowing it to charge its own [[Frame Shift Drive]] with minimal mass disruption while also mass disrupting the frame shift drive of most [[ships]]). The Asp Explorer also features a copilot seat located directly under the player's seat, visible while outfitting the ship.

The main downside of this ship is the high initial purchase cost and high maintenance costs. Many roles that the Asp fills can be fulfilled with cheaper ships, though the Asp's performance is typically better than that of the less expensive option. An example would be pirating which can be done in a [[Cobra MkIII]] whose purchase cost is 6.3 million credits less, while still having a moderate cargo capacity and comparable weapon armament. Another example would be trading which can be done in a [[Type-6 Transporter]] that has nearly the same cargo capacity, and costs 5.6 million credits less. A further example would be bounty hunting which can be done better in a [[Vulture]] which is more manoeuvrable and has higher firepower, while costing 1.7 million credits less.

The Asp Explorer can be purchased at a 20% discount at Irkutsk station in the Alliance capital system of [[Alioth]].<ref>[https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=122593 Discounted purchase price forum article]</ref>

The weapon hardpoints are located as follows: On each side of the cockpit, 1 medium hardpoint above the waterline and 1 small hardpoint below the waterline (total 2 medium, 2 small), and 2 small hardpoints located directly beneath the cockpit. Due to the shape of the ship and the hardpoint locations, the medium hardpoints and small hardpoints share a small field of fire (i.e mostly directly ahead). Pilots should be aware that Turrets in both Medium Hardpoints will have firing arcs above the cockpit where the pilot can generally see the target that the turrets are shooting at. However, turrets in all four Small Hardpoints will have firing arcs below the cockpit, where the target will tend to be obscured from the pilot's vision by the flight console and the floor.

The '''Asp Explorer''' has a high jump range relative to other ships in the game and thus is quite good for use as an exploration ship. It has six weapon [[hardpoint]]s and has a good turning radius for its size which makes the Asp good for more than just exploration. The Asp can act as a heavy-duty bounty hunting vessel due to its superb weapon capacity and good manoeuvrability for its size. [[Pirate]]s can also use the Asp to great effect because of the ample cargo capacity, heavy armament, long jump range and large mass (allowing it to charge its own [[Frame Shift Drive]] with minimal mass disruption while also mass disrupting the frame shift drive of most [[ships]]). The Asp Explorer also features a copilot seat located directly under the player's seat, visible while outfitting the ship.

The main downside of this ship is the high initial purchase cost and high maintenance costs. Many roles that the Asp fills can be fulfilled with cheaper ships, though the Asp's performance is typically better than that of the less expensive option. An example would be pirating which can be done in a [[Cobra MkIII]] whose purchase cost is 6.3 million credits less, while still having a moderate cargo capacity and comparable weapon armament. Another example would be trading which can be done in a [[Type-6 Transporter]] that has nearly the same cargo capacity, and costs 5.6 million credits less. A further example would be bounty hunting which can be done better in a [[Vulture]] which is more manoeuvrable and has higher firepower, while costing 1.7 million credits less.

Due to the shape of the ship and the hardpoint locations, the medium hardpoints and small hardpoints share a small field of fire (i.e mostly directly ahead). Pilots should be aware that Turrets in both Medium Hardpoints will have firing arcs above the cockpit where the pilot can generally see the target that the turrets are shooting at. The '''Adder''' is a small multipurpose ship, excellent as a bridge between the [[Sidewinder MkI]] and the [[Cobra MkIII]]. In addition to being a potentially viable dogfighter with proper equipment, the Adder has the distinction of being the least expensive [[Ships|ship]] capable of mounting a Class II [[Mining Laser]], making it a potentially useful starting point for aspiring [[miner]]s. The Adder's respectable jump range of over 27 Ly also makes it a potentially capable exploratory vessel, and its maximum cargo capacity of 26 without shields makes it the largest cargo capacity trading vessel to cost less than 100,000 [[Credits]].

Its inexpensiveness and respectable general-purpose capabilities make it a rugged, attractive craft, especially for newer commanders.

The weapon hardpoints are located as follows: 2 small hardpoints on the underside of the ship, 1 medium hardpoint on the top of the ship behind the cockpit.

Additionally, the wings exhibit a small hinge in it further allowing them to fold inwards when the landing gear is retracted. It is expected to be for allowing the Adder to fit into small landing pads.
