After spending a fair bit of time with both in the beta, I much prefer the Cutter to the Corvette. The only real downside for me is the manoeuverability. The tank on the Cutter is just hilarious, and the straighline speed often makes up for its lack of agility in combat. I'm not really a hauler, but I put the cargo space to use picking up all the junk that killing ships tends to leave behind.

The Corvette's 2 Class 4s seem cool until you realise firing both plasmaccs will melt your ship and the cannons struggle to hit anything smaller than Python. That all being said, some new Class 4 weapons would certainly make me reconsider, C4 Railgun? C4 BEAMS?!?!

Now that'd be something.

I know its combat capabilities aren't THAT impressive (although the absurd shield strength means it can outlast most ships in a 1v1), but is everyone forgetting that it'll be able to launch 2 snub fighters once they add that functionality?
As a makeshift carrier, the more turret focused hardpoint layout and a focus on defense over offense makes a little more sense.
