This special effect is only useful if you update all of your weapons with this effect (Which means you have a laser only setup) and primary fight in pvp, because nps ships have other heat mechanics then real players and so it doesn't effect them much. I've tested this special effect several times and its definetly not worth the damage reduction, especially if you fight primary in pve. There are a lot better options, for example Auto-Loader & Corrosive Shells (MC only) or Scramble Spectrum (Lasers)

This is such a great update for MC's! The setup on my Corvette is 2 Huge MC's with Auto-Loader (G5 Overcharged) and 1 Large MC with Corrosive Shells (G5 Overcharged). Your can really see the difference when firing at the hull without and with the effect installed. This is a great combination of effects because with Auto-Loader you have no disadvantage, you can keep firing continuously and with corrosive shells you shredd the hull within seconds at the cost of 20% less max ammo, but its worth it!

I have installed Auto-Loader on my 2 Huge MC's on my Corvette and this Update is amazing! Its one of the few Special Effects that have no disadvantage and you can fire your guns continuously. Therefore you got a higher DPS. The Reloading starts when the first shot is fired and it keeps reloading until either the mag is empty (Which takes very long with this update) or when the mag is fully reloaded. So this is a great addition to the corrosive shell effect, which is only useful on 1 MC since the effect doesn't stack.
