The '''Diamondback Scout''' is a long range combat and reconnaissance [[ships|ship]] which was released in the [[Powerplay]] update.

The weapon hardpoints are located as follows: 1 small hardpoint on each side of the cockpit, and 1 medium hardpoint on each side of the cockpit for a total of 2 medium and 2 small. These hardpoints have their aim points arranged in a straight horizontal line with little space between reticule dots making them very usable with fixed mounts. However their side mounting and close spacing also make good mounts for gimbaled and turreted weapons.

This ship has animated engine pods that shift position and tilt when landing gear are deployed as well as a radiator panel on the top surface that opens when landing gear are deployed.

The ship has a relatively low heat output, great speed and manoeuvrability and is a popular choice for shieldless stealth builds.

The '''Imperial Cutter''' is manufactured by [[Gutamaya]], and is an [[Empire|Imperial]] counterpart to the [[Federal Corvette]] in this size class.

The Cutter features 4 medium [[Hardpoint|hardpoints]]: 2 on the nacelles and 2 on the belly; 2 large hardpoints on top of the ship and 1 huge hardpoint on the chin. Notably, the exterior lights on the ship change color from blue to red once hardpoints are deployed.

[[Frontier Developments]] also confirmed it will have bad manoeuvrability and a high top speed. It is the largest player piloted ship as of 1.5 Beta 3.

With its 792T cargo capacity it has the largest cargo bay a playable ship can have, topping the Type-9 with 260T more cargo space, over 48% more space, while having significantly better shields and speed than the Type-9. This will make it the most logical choice for traders.

Unlike the Type-9, it is extremely well-shielded and reasonably well-armed, giving it far greater survivability and allowing some limited use of it as a combat ship, especially in the piracy role. In addition, with plenty of internals available to mount mining accessories while still leaving the largest open for cargo holds, excellent speed for moving from asteroid to asteroid, and a sufficiency of class 2 weapon mounts, the Cutter is unquestionably the best mining ship yet. {{Clr}}
