Some people are speculating this is works of [[Thargoids]], who haven't been seen since their disappearance. It is incredibly rare and only a few pilots have been able to see one themselves, thus being able to sell it for a huge reward.

== Finding them ==
These {{PAGENAME}}s can be found in [[System Signal Sources|Strong Signal Sources]]. Timocani and 109 Virginis are the only two systems ''confirmed'' to spawn them, but Michael Brookes has stated that they are 'exceedingly rare' and that they are only available in certain regions of the galaxy, which would suggest that they are in other systems too. Since 1.3 no new UAs have been found.

One of the original finders gives this advice:

"Fly into a system or launch from a station. Select the nearest object be it a station of a star. Enter supercruise if not already in it. Fly away from targeted object till your identifier in the bottom left corner of your hud changed from the target area and reads deep space. (this is around 1000 LS). That is the key (Deep Space). Then reduce your speed to minimum. Wait for the SSS (strong signal sauces to appear). When you enter one, if the contacts have a type 9 and anacondas in it, check the local chat. If they are talking back and forth saying the object is spooky ect,, (you will know when you see it as it very obvious). If you have a cargo scanner scan the type 9 and it will be there if it is anywhere. Note:- If no chatter then no UA."

There are two ways to get the UA from the T9, through patience or by force. The UA eats its way out of the ship holding it by degrading the cargo hatch (and other modules) over time, so in some cases it will just drop out into space in front of you. However, sometimes the T9 will jump out before this happens, so you also have option 2.
