Make sure if you're doing Ceos > Sothis, you only accept missions to the closest 2 or 3 stations, and that you only pick up boom missions from federation (the others don't increase your fed rank).

I've been doing loads of courier jobs and only realised now that I've caught up my rank that they weren't helping.

I did every rep+++ mission for empire I could find. There are quicker ways to grid money, the money here is a nice side effect but I'd seriously consider leaving money out of this grind as the time you save by finishing the grind sooner would equate to millions of credits if you get yourself in an exploration ship and do "road to riches" (google it).

So if you're wanting to get in that cutter, fully equipped, ASAP (or clipper), start off by doing these missions, rep+++ all the way, and then do road to riches for ~20 hours. Once you've done that, you'll have more than enough to buy the ship and all the modules you want.

Completely agree with this. We should be able to jump between stars or specify which star in a system we wish to land on. Surely a HSD should be capable of a 100k LS jump if it's capable of a 40 LY jump.

Quicker Supercruise: What I do is stay at 100% until I hit the 7/6s mark. Then I drop to 75%. I then check the stations safe approach speed/distance, as some have a higher distance. Once I've hit the "safe approach speed" (speed in blue at bottom left corner), I will throttle back up to 100%. Typically, on most stations, this is when you are 7Mm away, but on some it will be more like 10 (the ones that require 4.5Mm safety disengage rather than 1Mm).

This doesn't leave you a lot of time to disengage, but if you are doing missions between 2 stations, or trading, it can save you about 15s per trip, which is roughly 5% of your travel time on a good trading route.

I'm just very impatient :)
