{{quote|Kill Warrant Scanners are used to maximise the gains for a bounty hunter by revealing the bounties a ship may have in addition to any in the current jurisdiction. Likewise perfectly clean ships in the current jurisdiction could have bounties elsewhere that can be capitalised on but beware that attacking a ship that is clean in the current system will have criminal ramifications. Kill Warrant Scanners are also extremely useful when trying to bounty hunt in an anarchy system as no ship will be wanted by default but they often have bounties elsewhere.|In-Game Description}}

A '''{{PAGENAME}}''' is mounted on the utility mount of your ship and needs to be assigned to a fire group, just like a weapon. It can be used to scan a targeted ship for bounties gained from other jurisdictions. This means for targets who already have a bounty, this bounty might increase. Other targets who show as having a clean status may gain a bounty after being scanned. For others there will be no change if they have committed no crime(s).

Be warned - using this scanner is usually considered to be suspicious behavior (the scan target will often times attempt to maneuver away from you)! The target is always alerted when you initiate a scan on their ship.

==Usage==
You need to be within range (depends on scanner quality) of your target to activate the scanner. Holding the fire button down will initiate a scan and the button must be kept pressed until the scan completes. You also have to stay in range of your target, or the scan will be interrupted. A lot of the time when a target knows they are being scanned they try to get away, especially if they're guilty. Always be prepared for a hot chase with the scanner activated!

Note: the Target panel only shows the Clean/Wanted status in the current system - any extra bounties are visible only in the Contact tab. Furthermore, attacking a ship that is not Wanted in the current system is illegal in policed systems. When hunting in anarchy systems a Kill Warrant Scanner is required, as all targets will come up as Clean in the local system and you won't get any bounty unless you scan them first.

Heat sinks can be used to temporarily cool the ship by transferring all internally stored heat to them and then ejecting them from the ship.

Heat sinks are most commonly used in connection with [[Silent Running]] or with larger ships dumping excess heat when making multiple hyperspace jumps, deploying a heat sink when weapons systems are overheated will also speed up the cool down process. The heat sink launchers are installed on ships Utility Mount and you can install more than one providing your ship has additional Utility Mounts to install them upon. Each heat sink has a capacity of 3 sinks and each sink can hold approx 90-100% of ships maximum heat capacity. Heat sinks can be launched via a dedicated key binding or launched via the fire button of the fire group the launcher is assigned too and hardpoints do not need to he deployed to launch a heat sink.

Current issues are that keybinding does not always launch sink in Super Cruise, however fire button of associated Fire Groups will launch on SC providing the fire group is selected prior to entering super cruise. If you have more than one Heat Sink Launcher assigned to a particular fire group, each launcher will launch a sink at the same time so depleting stocks by one on all launchers in that fire group but Primary and Secondary fire groups do fire independently.
