That's a Python, basically.

That would be pretty neat if they'd make a "Krait LX" or something, a modern Krait Lightspeeder. Maybe 240t, less quick & more armored than a Vulture, with Large hardpoints on the wingtips, ooh baby.....

We've at least got the Krait now. And before you go "but the Krait's weaker than the python," sure it is, but a ship as tanky as the Python plus an SLF would be punching way too far above its class. That's almost true of the Krait. More maneuverable but with the same hardpoint numbers as the Python, the only thing that keeps it from being far and away the best medium ship is the slightly lesser defenses and cargo space.

Of those, I sold the Viper and FDL. The Python sits ready to go mining, and I fly the Krait or occasionally the Vulture. The other two get taken out on the occasional fun run.
