That is a great comparison, actually. Many people choose the Imperial Clipper over this due to cargo capacity, speed, shields, etc., but I prefer this ship overall. It's meant to attack from the front, and, unlike the Clipper, it can keep firing once your opponent gets right up in front of you. And the two extra hardpoints could go towards turreted weapons, that keep going as you turn, assuming the ship you were attacking was large enough to have survived that long.

The Fer-de-Lance acutally looks pretty big so I'd guess it's up around a T7 in terms of price. (maybe a little higher since it's a luxury craft) And I'd say the vulture is a little over a million, just because of the cockpit size. But the lack of hardpoints kinda makes it not worth it in my opinion...

I totally agree man. I was fighting one of these at a nav beacon in my tricked-out eagle and it was taking forever to bring it down. And once when I accidentally wound up in front of it, it ripped through my shields and brought me to 80% hull in about fifteen seconds.

Out of curiosity, my friend and I are traveling to Alliance space (armed with Adders and our trusty BDSs). I'm not sure what his plan is, but I think I just might stay there. There would be little competition in terms of other commanders, and there will most likely be many economical opportunities in the budding democracy. And who knows... if I make a few decent discoveries I may even get them to occupy a new system.
