Better than the corporatist federation, which even under space Hillary will still be corrupt and corporate. Alliance is literally the US under the articles of confederation before the constitution was drafted. For those of you who don't know what the articles are: after the U.S. Won independence, they were exactly like the alliance, a bunch of loose states with no unity except common defense. A pissed off farmer named shay led a rebellion that basically conquered a state since there was no standing army to stop them. Shays demands for a government that did stuff and cared about its citizens are mainly why the constitution was thought up. So what the alliance needs is its own shay, and in the mean time it's as weak as any nation can be. It only has ONE capital ship, and it's a tharigoid one only mentioned in lore. The empire is basically a Roman Empire, and while it's true that it needs a check and balance system on the leader, aisling is the safest bet for a more democratic empire. I must get my ASP from alioth, then I ride south to aisling

Only problem I see with the empire: lack of democracy. The slaves aren't slaves, they're indentured servants (willing slaves who do it to pay off debts). If the senators could be a check on the emperor (stop any decision that the majority disagrees with).

It's hard to decide, the three most ethical people are winters Mahon and aisling. Aisling isn't too smart so she's out but both Mahon and winters are cunning, sensible and powerful. The federation is too corporatist but the alliance lacks the unity. It's a tough decision. Although she is a liberal which means less corporations becoming their own empires like the Sirius, so as soon as I'm done with the great deal on the ASP in alight I'm goin to felicia

I hope that we get a full on list in each power's page that goes like:
Cloning: yes
Slavery: no
Personal Weapons: yes
Or something like that so we know where every single power and potential leader in power play stands, but so far the Alliance seems to be a bit too pacifist but otherwise is the only one that looks like it won't collapse. The empire has no leader and the federation is slaves to corporations (I hate that, so I fire on any fed ship I see). I will be getting my imperial courier from the empire (I love the looks so it will be a collectible) and then I will pledge allegiance to Mahon.
