Just like a Ferrari it looks and sound good but has no real use. Especially considering you get Better combat and utility capabilities out of a kraitII at a 20 million smaller price. So in my opinion it’s an overpriced supercar or supership in this case.

Sidewinder—>eagle->adder->cobra mk3->DBX->AspX->Fed Dropship->Python. Later make the rookie mistake and died without rebuy. I didn’t give up and was forced to downgrade to a keelback. This economic issue during my career did allow me to try a ship I never flown before and I jumped back up to a python. That’s now about 60% of my ED career, now I fly a anaconda and try out ships, make builds, and do jobs things I neglected in ED like exploration and passenger missions.

Guns, armor, and shields are not everything type 10 has one of the worse turn rates in the game making combat difficult.Turrets can work for it but you will have to sacrifice a bit of damage compared to fixed and gimbaled weapons.

It’s faster than the average medium ship, comes with good looks and has a huge hard point is it’s best factors but in my opinion the minuses outweighs the pluses with it’s some what slow turn rate, heat issues and highly limited use outside of combat

I completely agree with you on everything about the mamba, great look is all it got going for it.But I don’t agree with your nobody going to fly this folder with the exception of the challenger because some people prefer the chieftain instead of any of it’s variants anyway.Adder is a great upgrade from the sidewinder early on,keelback is a great miner with good survivability.

Fighters can be used to distract the pirate while the mothership/miner excapes this is easy due to the fact that npcs are most likely to attack the ship doing the most damage which in the miners case would be the fighter.

Why does this ship get praised? It’s statistically worse in almost everything compared to the chieftain including maneuverability, hardpoints, and overall speed and if a stat isn’t worse than the chieftain it usually on par with it.So basically I would be spending more credits on a worse copy with the only goods things on it is it’s fighter bay and third seat.Hopefully frontier can redeem themselves with a better ship at Q4 or a buff to this ship.
