There are three main categories of [[:Category:Planets|planets]]: [[Terrestrial Planet|Terrestrial planets]], [[Ocean Planet|Ocean Planets]] (water worlds) and [[Gas Giant|Gas Giants]].

The term planet refers to celestial bodies orbiting a [[star]] with a [[gravity]] in a specific range. The gravity of a planet has to be strong enough to hold fluids in a stable state (hydrostatic equilibrium) which prevents them from escaping the planet and low enough to prevent nuclear processes to start as in stars.

Some astronomical bodies, we call planets, are not considered as planets by this definition. [[Moons]] are natural satellites orbiting a planet and do not fall into the category of planets. * Random appearances in High Intensity Combat Zones and Capital Ship zones starting in Gamma update.
* After destroying all of its Heat Relays it will be forced to retreat and FSD from the battlefield.
* One can be found stationed in Synteini, It appears to be a permanent post.
* Two are docked for repairs outside Jefferies Port in the Ugrivirii system.
* Capital Ships have an exclusion zone. Flying too close to a Capital Ship is considered a threat and will make you a target, even if you are friendly. The Capital Ship will often inform you when you are getting close, telling you to back off.

* A large collection of debris can be found at the capital ship point of interest within the Facece system. Another Majestic will soon jump in once the player has established an instance. Many Commanders think that the debris was once a Majestic. It is still unconfirmed what destroyed it, were this the case.

The '''Farragut Battle Cruiser''' is the mainstay capital ship of the [[Federation]]. Heavily armed with classified weaponry, the Farragut stretches over two kilometres long. The backbone of the [[Federal Navy]], it also forms the central core of the Federation Intervention fleet.

The '''Farragut Battle Cruiser''' is the mainstay capital ship of the [[Federation]]. Heavily armed with classified weaponry, the Farragut stretches over two kilometres long. The backbone of the [[Federal Navy]], it also forms the central core of the Federation Intervention fleet.

The battle cruiser is capable of transporting and operating whole groups of [[Federal Corvette]]s, alongside housing multiple [[F63 Condor]] squadrons. It cannot be piloted by players.

* After destroying all of its Heat Relays it will be forced to retreat and FSD from the battlefield.
* One can be found stationed in Synteini, It appears to be a permanent post.

* Capital Ships have an exclusion zone. Flying too close to a Capital Ship is considered a threat and will make you a target, even if you are friendly. The Capital Ship will often inform you when you are getting close, telling you to back off.

* A large collection of debris can be found at the capital ship point of interest within the Facece system. Another Majestic will soon jump in once the player has established an instance. To purchase the {{PAGENAME}} players must have earned the rank of Baron with the Imperial Navy.<ref group="nb">[[GalNet]] announced [https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/55a4dc5d9657ba6d253de737 14 Jul 3301] that all independent pilots with an active Imperial Navy rank could now purchase the Clipper.</ref>

This ship is quite popular with [[pirate]]s, [[trader]]s, and some combat pilots. It is a reasonable pirate ship due to the large cargo capacity and heavy armament. Traders may find this ship appealing due to its superb cargo capacity and defensive capability; while it is more expensive than the [[Lakon Type-7]] it can easily defend itself against a pirate.

Pilots of any [[profession]] may appreciate its speed; it is second only to the Cobra Mk.III with fully upgraded [[Thrusters]]. Additionally, its pitch rotation speed is higher than most ships, making it feel like a very hefty, weighted-down [[Eagle]] with a boost speed that is slightly higher than that of the [[Viper Mk III|Viper]]. Its only manoeuvering drawback, and likely the reason for its low overall agility rating, is its poor yaw capability; the vertical-lateral thrusters are very weak compared to those of other ships. This weakness, combined with very weak [[shield]]s for its size and wing-mounted [[hardpoint]]s ill-suited for fixed weapons, limits the Imperial Clipper's efficiency as a [[combat]] ship even if the shields are upgraded to maximum. The Imperial Clipper is also currently the widest ship controllable by players which may pose a challenge with docking.

Speed and manoeuvrability fall off more heavily when heavily loaded than other ships, bringing it back into more normal speeds and turn rates when hauling cargo.

Both the ships interior and exterior are luxurious in design, the engines sport a radically different sound than other ships, and the large cockpit canopy features an unobstructed view of space.

The weapon hardpoints are located as follows: One Class 3 large hardpoint on the top of each wingtip nacelle (total of two class 3 mounts), and One Class 2 medium hardpoint on the underside of each wing where the wing attaches to the main fuselage (total of 2 class 2 mounts). The wingtip mounts are very far from centerline and will have trouble converging their fields of fire unless used with gimbaled or turret mounted weapons. The underside mounts although closer together, also suffer the same field of fire convergence issues although to a lesser degree than the wingtip mounts.
