Most of the rare limits on the Wiki have been trashed by people who don't understand the mechanics.

Each rare has a limit. When the faction that sells the goods is in Boom state, there is a bonus sometimes well over the limit.

But that is not a normal allocation. Yes, it's true that you can occasionally fluke a good RNG roll.

People changing the allocation figures all the time is making the rare goods information very unreliable.

I think the rare goods template needs to be changed to include values for boom state as well as normal.

I quickly swapped the type 6 back for the Cobra. Returning from a succesful mining trip and getting interdicted twice, and then limping back with 25% hull was a little too exciting. The Cobra can outrun anything, even with a full load. I'm saving up to try an Asp next.

What I want to try with the Asp is prospecting. Go and see if the truly pristine rings in systems outside the bubble are worth mining.

I'm now mining out of Lembava in my new cobra and saving up for a type 6. Shouldn't take too long, as I'm returning loaded up with heavy metals and even finding a little painite.

This is a pain if the other miner is just out of your limpet's range, as iti will go all the way over and then expire.
