THE ASP IS WAY BETTER! just kidding, reading those comments, that person is what any good community calls 'toxic'.
An honest review of this ship now: This ship is the cheapest heavy hauler, in that it's the first ship you can afford that carries over 250 tons, It's a bit pricy compared to an asp, that's true, but with a decent route it's an early-mid-game money printer. If you are looking to make maximum credits, as early as possible, throwing all else away to do so, there is no other choice.
If you are REALLY that worried about piracy, but don't wanna end up sacraficing a large chunk of your profit, you'll want to trade in impirial space exclusively for awhile in what I would assume to be an asp/type6, and occasionally check the mission board for a data/cargo delivery mission for naval intelligence. You will raise imperial rank as you go, eventually allowing you to buy an imperial clipper, which has essentially the same cargo capacity, but also strong weapons and shields. This does take a bit longer, but it does work.
All that is IF evading player piracy is a concern, keep in mind that, at least in my experience, it's not nearly as common as asp kid would lead you to believe. You can get the type7 faster, and cheaper than a clipper, and it offers the same trade potential, as for "kitted asp vs stock type7" Why do you compare an upgraded vehicle to one with ZERO upgrades in the first place? just saying....
All in all, if maximizing credits per hour is all that matters, this and the clipper are the tier just below the type9, which is an endgame trade ship, along with the cutter (with shield& docking computer, the difference between those 2 is just appearance preferance and rebuy cost/defense, but that's another story)
I've used all these ships intensively for trade, currently in a cutter
Hope this honest review helps, Good Trading Commanders!o7

It should be noted that bonds on your transaction board appear in terms of credits, this is the combined value of all the bonds you have (but haven't turned in). This does not however, tell you how many bonds you actually have. By "50 bonds for the feds" Juri means destroy, then turn in the bonds for 50 ships while fighting for a federal faction in conflict zones. The number of turned in bonds is viewed in your "finance" section of your status board. Juri Ishmaak will call when you have reached 50 FEDERAL bonds, Imperial ones don't count, so just having 50 bonds on your finance board will not necessarily cut it (assuming some of your buildup is imperial). Also noted, he contacts you based on TURNED IN federal bonds. Juri doesn't work like Todd blaster Mcquinn. Todd asks you to bring HIM bounty vouchers. Juri only requires you to turn in federal bonds in whatever system you got them in, as you normally would.
I had to figure all this out myself, as I had done bounty hunting tons of times before this and had no bonds. I just wondered "what are bonds and how hard is it to get them?" now you guys won't have that problem.

Hope all this was helpful and good luck commanders! o7
